I'll look at a new theory once, and decide if it's testable.
For the most part, I'm more interested in why some people have a penchant for believing things that are either unprovable, or already proven false - like injecting bleach to "cure" covid.

@hartfire Ideas like the planet being flat or hollow, don't merit the name "theory". They are just fantasies plucked out of vivid imagination.
A theory, and at a more speculative level, a hypothesis, has to be a sensible suggestion based on existing knowledge, observations and where possible tests, not mere guesses.
