Does anyone else think scientific jargon is just too much?

Man is it a suffering to read through walls of scientific jargon and page filler, when did the sciences become a weird political arena?

Language often becomes elitist. Sometimes for good reason, it keeps idiots like Donald Trump from understanding things he is incapable of dealing with intelligently or objectively.

In the same way it limits just as many, if not more, wonderful people from understanding some of the most interesting and beautiful truths of reality!

Which are pretty simple, honestly! Many scientists are just the ugliest writers.
@Winterwanderer And the greatest writers would make terrible scientist but I get your point and agree. I only wish I had the sharp cognition to understand arcane scientific language. I'm horrible with numbers yet have alway's had a strange fascination for them. Quite a quandary.

Ahh! Fear not curious Grateful one (or 4), there are ways to circumvent the hideous, for lack of a better word, 'circlejerk' of modern science writers, Khan Academy is actually pretty simple and thorough, one thing I've been using to learn quantum physics, with the caveat that I'm a psychology major with no background in physics or mathematics, is called PBS Spacetime on YouTube, it delves into the ideas and explains (most of them) in relatively layman terms with minimal to no math knowledge required.

One reason I favor Einstein, or Richard Feynman, they're not fully sure who said it, is because they stated, 'You don't really understand something unless you can explain it to a six year old and have them understand it."

Feel free to reach out if you're interested in exploring a new world with me, I'm never averse to new partners in the pursuit of the world's vast hidden treasures.

And feel free not to as well.

Simply feel free.
@Winterwanderer Sounds very intriguing, alas and alack at this hour my synapses start misfiring and I doubt I'm capable of processing much more than simple things. Perhaps sometime in the future I might be able to have a question worth your while. Thank you so much.

Ahh yes! I will always be open to it, weather permitting 🤪
@Winterwanderer LOL. You sound like President Johnsons wife on the annual easter egg roll invitation. "Lord be willing and the creeks don't rise, we hope to see you on time" Her rather pathetic attempt of sounding "folksy" LOL

Hahahah, I didn't know this about Johnson's wife 😅 We're probably like, the exact same person.
@Winterwanderer You and Mrs.Johnson the same person? That"s rather distressing to say the least. She warnt ever purdy!
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
I thought she was as purdy as a lurdyburd?
@Winterwanderer "Lurdyburd" You have an incredibly unique flair for language. I am humbled you bother with such a pedestrian likes as me sir! I'm nearly dizzy with the vapors and my incredible awe of you.
