What's with Malwarebytes?

I downloaded it, and suddenly, it slowed my computer to a slow crawl. It took about half a minute to open any website. And it took my computer so long to boot up, I thought something was drastically wrong, and I was going to have to take my machine in for repair.

When I disabled it, thankfully, everything returned to normal.

Some apps just don't work very well.

When I used Malwarebytes, I used the free version and I basically had it completely disabled not running in background or automatically starting when the computer boots up, no it needs to be switched off until you require it, otherwise like you say it starts going renegade wanting to delete other security software and generally being a pain slowing the machine down scanning everything 24/7.
No when you need it run it let it do a scan like say once a month whatever then switch it off again.乂 ᵒ_ᵒ乂
@AdaXI That's what I'm going with it. I've disabled all of its features which keep it running all the time. I'll use it just for scanning when I want to.

security software, it is an antivirus but it also checks every webpage you open for security/safety. What version of Windows are you running, I'd hope Win 10 since it's the only supported OS

@PhoenixPhail yeah, if you start using too many security software programs together, they definitely start conflicting with each other and slowing each other down and even can see each other as a possible threat trying to undo each others actions..
@SW-User That makes sense. I also use SuperAntiSpyware. I really like it, but it has compatibility issues with Kaspersky. Kaspersky even recommended I uninstall it because some of their functions didn't work while I had it on my machine.
@SW-User I just opened my Task Manager. Even with all of it's functions disabled, Malwarebytes was using a HUGE amount of RAM. I disabled it.

Use CCleaner instead. ⭐️
@Peaches CCleaner has messed me up before. It removed some essential running parts from my system. I used to use Piriform's Defrag app, too, but I think Windows defrag system is probably more compatible with my system. Thanks for your suggestion, though. 🤗
Thats weird I'm running malwarebytes on my windows 10 computer and I'm having no problems with it at all
Do you have a Mac ?
@bijouxbroussard No, a PC.
