My TV is always 7 seconds ahead of time. Well, the picture is 7 seconds ahead of the sound.

It's so frustrating. No one can explain it not even my internet provider or other internet providers. 🤦‍♀️

If it's an always situation, then the problem is with your equipment, if everything else is the same. Once at your equipment, the media splits between audio and video, to reach the right place. If the equipment doing the splitting / re-assembly can't keep up, then you will have problems.

You need to look at your entire system.
You actually timed or counted the seven seconds? It's on every channel and network?
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@quitwhendone I counted 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississippi and so on...

Only Netflix. On every TV.
@perceptivei That's odd. Do you use smart TVs or a Roku?

That’s like watching a badly dubbed Japanese Godzilla movie.

Lol.. I can imagine probably awful to watch 😓😟
YMITheWayIM · 46-50, M
That's amazingly frustrating.

It's to do with the 7 seconds delay..radio has it too. It's a way of cutting off any swearing ..even live tv has a 7 second delay.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@perceptivei Ahh okay. Well here in the UK all live tv and radio has a 7 second delay.
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Entwistle gotcha. I meant the sound and picture don't match up.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@perceptivei Ahh okay. My misunderstanding.
bad dubbing lol
Are you listening through your tv or a stereo system?
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Majorlatency ok. Thank you.
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Majorlatency So ironic considering your username.
@perceptivei true.. I live in the country so my internet has major latency, hence the name and the military connection..😂
MrAboo · 36-40, M
There needs to be a way to refresh your tv. Contact your tv manufacturer
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@MrAboo It's only Netflix and happens on all my TVs.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Mine doesnt time travel... 😔
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Also, light travels faster than sound! 🧐👨‍🏫
Azlotto · M
That would drive me bonkers...Try updating the TV's software/firmware.
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Azlotto it's every tv. Maybe it's the roku.
