How do I see my original comment that someone responded to on YouTube?
Back in the day, YouTube had a feature where when you posted a comment and someone replied to even if it was months later, it would have a hyperlink so that you could go directly to the original comment. It looked something like this: (note: VERY random text. lol)
John Doe Johnny Appleseed ate a peanut
Jane Doe Did he really? He was a flying buttery butterfly.
Jane Doe responded to your comment
So it used to be (I'm not sure if anyone remembers) that when you clicked the hyperlink, it would take you back to the original comment that was replied to:
So if "John Doe" clicked on the "comment" hyperlink, it would direct him to:
Johnny Appleseed ate a peanut
lol I hope this makes sense and sorry for the weird analogies. I just needed a sample text.
Does anyone remember YouTube doing this? It was years ago, or is it just me? It really made finding old comments that people respond to a lot easier. Now, when YouTube sends a notification that someone replied to your comment, it shows their comment, but not your original. So I'm often like shoot, what did I say? ๐๐ค๐
