Do you comment on things of sciences you hardly know anything about?

Sometimes. I studied Chemistry to degree level but I can't remember it all lol I have very basic science knowledge but sometimes I can work stuff out with that basic knowledge.

Sometimes I will comment on something I don’t know much about but if it’s revealed that I don’t, I admit. Other people double down on their ignorance and become defiant and petulant. In general though I try to avoid topics I know little about because it isn’t enjoyable to show one’s ignorance. I’m okay reading those posts to learn, though.

@SW-User My father is a computer scientist in geography, whilst I'm a computer scientist in media. I'm not interested in his field, but whenever I tell him about my stuff, he's like "what's that even useful for?"

No. I never try and fake knowledge.

Yeah but only on the particular things I know, for example I hardly know math but if you need help with a problem I'm able to solve, I will comment.
