My Asus lap top

Am thinking am a moron right now and I need your help. My @ key won't function on my new Asus laptop. I did the shift key and press the 2 for @ nothing happened then I did the alt key on the right hand side still nothing happened. Does anyone please know how this function. Forgive my stupidity

Since you have the @ in your message, you send it from your phone, right? 🤔

Anyway try this, not sure whether it will help, but it could work:
Press ctrl+shift in your text editor. Then try to type the @ again.

If it doesn't work press ctrl+shift again. Otherwise you could have messed up your keyboard settings. 😅

Maybe it needs new drivers.
