Do you believe Greenland's glaciers are melting?

Temperature was -88F in January. Record cold. Then it gained GIGAtons of snow Feb 7 2020.

I suppose that just because there has been a lot of snow or record cold this year does not mean that the general trend has not been for warmer temperatures and melting glaciers over a period of 100 years or so.

@SW-User And how long are the trend lines. Climate change is normal. It always has changed. It always will change. Some years are warmer than others. Some decades are warmer than others some centuries are warmer than others. Some millenia are warmer than others. Of course the opposite is also true.
@hippyjoe1955 Are you a statistician? Because I am, and while that may be true, we know this is different.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RandomForest Obviously you are not a statistician. If so you would be looking for real data not the stuff in the popular press.
@hippyjoe1955 We have real data. I've done the analysis it was my job for a time. Come on man, you have to know you are wrong here. Willful ignorance is a foolish point of view.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RandomForest Sure you have. What a joke!!!! I have seen the two sets of real data. Ever wonder why Canada decided to reject its own weather history and use its computer modeled past temperatures? Because the two are not the same.
@hippyjoe1955 There are more than two sets of data...there are sensors for temp, satellite maps and ice core drills happening all over the artic at regular intervals. The data says you are wrong. Guess what that means, you are wrong.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RandomForest Nope. You have no idea how the past data has been tampered with. Ever hear of the medieval warm period? How about the Roman warm period?
@hippyjoe1955 All of that is accounted for when you look at the data in trend and doesn't even come close to what's happening now. No warming period can account for this. You don't understand stats and that's fine it's not an easy subject for some, but why pretend you do instead of deferring to those who know more?

@RandomForest so how long is your trend line? The trend from yesterday to today is down......
@hippyjoe1955 Here, this will help you.
