I just got this really old laptop!

it's a iBook g4 and I dont even know how to use mac. but it's just for my writing. since I decided I was start doing it anyways!

Better make backups. These things love to get hotter than the surface of the sun. Rapid heating and cooling breaks the solder joints on the board inside. If you start getting graphical glitches just throw it out.

@RemovedUsername1042818 I'm just gonna use it to write? nothing else you think it will start glitching?
@Dancingxghost Macs have notoriously horrible cooling solutions relative to the requirements of the chips inside. Just having a text editor and browser with 10-15 tabs on my 2011 MBP would make it hot enough that it was uncomfortable to keep on my lap. It's why I moved away from Apple stuff entirely.

@RemovedUsername1042818 well I'll try to use it wisely. hopefully it will die long after I finished with my paper.
@Dancingxghost Hopefully it lasts. It took my iBook around 3 months of heavy use to kill itself.

@RemovedUsername1042818 well I won't like kill it by overworking on it its..just my free style writing and some other stuff not liks a research paper or anything like that.
