How do you cancel an order on amazon?

I want to cancel an item BEFORE it ships to my house. I no longer need it.
I don't see the option under 'orders'.

I see the item, but do not see the option to cancel...

Yes i've already googled it...

Are you sure the item hasn’t shipped yet? I pulled up my orders.

The item I ordered today can still be canceled, and the item I ordered yesterday has the option taken away, and says it has been shipped.

@itsok I ordered a day or so ago. it hasn't shipped...but it's okay. I'll wait, and return the item without opening it
