New or Add?

So I am working on a program that does wonderful things, and there are some customer/projects to add. Naming the buttons, should they say New Customer, or Add Customer? There is not enough room for Add New Customer.

I think "New" sort of implies a possible future event, where "Add" is more immediate, but what is preferred? I know, its a pretty lame discussion. lol

Why would you "add new customer"? Isn't the customer, by definition, new? If the customer already exists, then you would be "editing" that customer information, not "adding a new customer".

Add (even skip the customer) should be plenty, as, logically, you are in a part of the application, that says "Adding Customer" somewhere on the label.

I'd put "ADD" because it's more immediate, demanding so more impactful psychologically. Also "NEW" implies a degree of risk -being new at something is risky so psychologically it's not as appealing.
