What do you think about the Internet of Things?

IoT is the phenomenon where everything such as every day objects can connect to the Internet (smart fridges, etc). Why does a fridge need Internet? Only the geekiest of Makers/tech geeks care. Reminds me I have an Adabox for IoT laying around.

I’m not typically a “get off my lawn” type of person, but the idea of a smart refrigerator, a smart coffee maker, a smart washing machine, etc., etc., etc., draws me closer to being a “get off my lawn” person.
