Why do about one in four text messages I send to my niece disappear?

It only happens when I send text messages to her, no one else. She has reported it to Cricket which we both have and they say they are investigating it; the investigation has gone on for 4 months she tells me. She says these things take time. So far, they have no explanation.

What could be the problem? It has made it very hard to communicate by text which, for me at least, has been the easiest way due to my bad hearing. I just got hearing aids but am still not used to them and generally I prefer text messages anyway. But losing every 4th or 5th message is frustrating and has led to a few misunderstandings in our attempts at communication.

It disappears from your phone or hers?

@Bagalamaga From her phone. I send them and she says she hasn't gotten them.

Also, sometimes she receives "mashups," that is, two old messages from me from days or weeks ago mashed together.

@greenmountaingal tell her to send you a screenshot next time.

@Bagalamaga How would that help? You mean a screenshot (picture) of the mashup messages? (She obviously can't send me a picture of the ones she doesn't receive).
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@greenmountaingal yes. Just a screenshot of the conversation where the problem occurred.

@Bagalamaga And then you want me to post it here? Or...?
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@greenmountaingal if you want to,sure. Just make sure you blank out any personal information. You can also email it to the phone company.

@Bagalamaga She has done that already. Cricket has all the information.
