Most of US recyclable are handled, for a fee, by Chinese companies. Recently the Cocos (Keeling) Islands were dicovered to be covered in plastis waste

Whats the chance these companies are simply dumping the plastic at sea?

China has stopped taking it in Australia. There is a black market in recyclables in some other Asain nation (Indonesia?) and the govt is pissed at us. Was on Sixty Minutes.

China has stopped buying recyclable plastics pretty well I think.
