do you think a person can hold simultaneously more than one conversation?

my question steams from the movie "Her" combined with me trying to become ambidextrous. In the movie, the OS(operating system) could simultaneously hold thousands of conversations.
Do you think it is even possible for a human to -at the same time- converse with two others?

That would involve being around people, no thanks.

@Steve42 perhaps on the phone, a mobile for each ear

@elafina I hate talking to people on the phone, my ear always seems to hit the mute or speaker button.

@Steve42 what about observing two separate monitors while reading lips .. ? (you ain't going to get rid of me hahah)

@elafina What we seem to have here is a failure to communicate. I avoid people. I dont' like them. I do not like them here or there, I do not like them anywhere. Not on a phone, not in hangouts, not standing, or in a chair. I do not like people banga I am, I'd rather hang out in the can.

@Steve42 but Steve you're talking to me, do you think there's a dog behind the screen? It's a human!!! da - daa .. One in a good mood. So, i think, i might be mistaken (but you'll tell me so) i think you might - just might - enjoy our communication, at least seems to be bearable, since you reply.

you can tell many stories, and you can have many interpretations out of one situation. That's what communication is about, for me.
For example, now you give me this image, i react with a certain way. If you replied with something different, i'd like to think(...) that i'd react differently.
funny pic btw, even if i'd prefer that you'd be less suspicious towards me. You don't need to though, that's another interesting thing in communication, the certain freedom of expression.
