The Human Rhesus positive factor only exists in humans and closely related apes, and 85% of humans are Rh positive. Rhesus monkeys, after whom the factor is named, have a similar gene factor in their blood....but it isn’t the same as the Human Rh factor. Are we even sure whether all apes and monkeys are Rh positive or lack the gene for Rh entirely?
