No I was just dyslexic

An had a sever “attitude problem”
@User41 That's what happens when they pass you from grade to grade even though you can't read properly putting you further and further back.
User41 · 36-40, M
Exactly.

Truth is I had skills. But those skills the school system didn’t recognize or nourish.

But it’s all good. I figured my shit out eventually.
@User41 In my day the schools taught right down the middle and the kids with problems and the really smart kids got lost in the shuffle. Basic shit straight down the middle.

I was one of them.

It sucks. An I consider myself lucky for learning from it. Rather than suffering from it later in life.

But I suspect that isn’t the case for a lot of kids.
@User41 I still blame my parents for not doing anything when the school told them what the problems were. They just let me keep going to school wondering what my problem was.
User41 · 36-40, M
Mine too.

They were active and tried to help but they didn’t know themselves what the problem was.

An I was very hard headed at the time too. I was difficult.

They did what they thought was right though 🤷🏻‍♂️.

At this point in my life i don’t blame anyone. It was just a shitty situation.
@User41 I was already tested and diagnosed in elementary school but if you can't compete scholastically and you're not a jock you fall through the cracks pretty fast.

You think differently. Probably learn differently too.

That’s it. It doesn’t mean your stupid. It doesn’t mean you can’t be great. It just means the correct system generalizes to much.

Your either academic or a jock.

There’s no system in place for those who are in-between or excel in a completely different way.
