If ou could prove supernatural powers existed ...

Would they still be supernatural?
Who decides what's natural anyway?
Does supernatural just mean something you or I don't believe?

Some will mock but it's a serious question worth considering.

The difference is clear to me:

Nature follows physical laws
Magic is about wishing power

@PrivatePeeks I wouldn't say nature 'follows' physical laws. Rather we study nature and detect irrevocably repeating patterns which we then call physical laws, behaving as if we created them for nature to 'follow.'

Magic is an ambiguous word. Do you mean illusive entertainment, or something else that 'is considered' - by whom? - 'beyond natural.'

@Really Magic isn't an ambiguous word. The art of illusion is simply often mistaken for magic- which is the same as the supernatural, or more properly the supranatural.

Let's not get so tripped up on words.

@PrivatePeeks Words are all we can use here. If we don't agree on what we mean by them, we can't communicate our thoughts.

You say "The art of illusion is simply often mistaken for magic- which is the same as the supernatural ..."

Does that mean that you believe supernatural magic exists?
