Does anyone know how or if it's really possible to convert a bin extension to one that is a video extension?

It's easier to do it with Linux than with Windows, although there are online converters if your BINs are small-ish and not private.

@Smalljuan You probably can, via a web browser, although I've never tried it myself. Given the size of video files, you'd probably want to use wi-fi as well, rather than cut into your data.
