Wifi adapter problem?

Been having problems with my laptop wifi. It won't stay connected. I have updated the software. I have plugged in an Ethernet cable to troubleshoot.

It'll work for like a minute then stop again.

Anything else i can do to remedy the issue or must it go to a repair shop?

Do you have other devices that connect to the wifi and stay connected? That would determine whether it's just your laptop or if it's the router.

One issue for dropping out is if there is some kind of signal interference between your router and laptop. So things like cordless phones or having close neighbours all using wifi on the same frequency that yours is. There is a way to change the channel you use which could help. It's a setting in your router when you connect to it via the ethernet cable.
