Very dependable, yes, until your reverse goes out. lol I just had to be careful as to where I parked for a while.

I bought mine used in 1976 and drove it until it died in 1983. Never had a problem.

I was hit in the rear by a tourist trying to change lanes at a stop light. Ended up sandwiched between him and the car in front of me. Tried to back off the car in front of me, but ended up stuck and had to be pushed into the Starbucks parking lot as I couldn't get the car to reverse. That was quite the spectacle!
