I'm not an oceanographer, but I can only assume they used geologic evidence of climate conditions in areas that would be affected by the Gulf Stream, and modeled that based on the current climate and strength of the Gulf Stream

@Lyss23 You are correct !

They have no idea. They have very well paid jobs paid for by us, if they said everything was fine they would lose them. Scare mongering keeps the jobs, they of course would deny that. 💲

@jeancolby Should read the testimony by the former NOAA scientists talking about manipulating the data to fit a political cocnclusion.
It to do with the Ice caps melting in the Arctic and changing the density of the salt water in North Atlantic. This is caused by flooding more fresh water in to the salt water mix which in turn slows down the salt from sinking. This has he effect of reducing the Gulf Stream conveyor belt system in the western Europe Airflow.

you build a model and make assumptions and then tune it until it tells you whatever supports a bad enough outcome to earn attention = funding. It's pretty simple.

It's hard to fathom considering that we didn't even know this current existed eighty years ago..
:) I'm not sure that's right...I think he just NOTICED it wasn't flat...
