Auto correct

If a spell chick is a young lady looking over my shoulder to check my spelling as I type, then I am all for it.

What made me write the "spell chick" comment was my frustration last night trying to write a posting for two groups about Kentucky basketball - my school for undergraduate and law school.

EVERY damn time I typed UK and hit the space key, it changed it to U. K. Then, I would I had to back up and erase the ".K." and retype K. It would seem that after I type the same thing and then correct the same thing well over ten times, maybe the program could recognize that I did not matriculate in Britain, and would stop changing what I type.

Also, every time I type something like "i. E." Or, that is - well you can See right there what ALWAYS happens.

I am a careful typist and don't make many mistakes, but I have to waste a bunch of time reading my comments before posting so that I can correct auto correct.
