@WittyKittyfeelinShitty ah the medieval period. When religious influence caused men to march for thousands of miles to take a city with no real material value. It definitely was the most interesting period, id have to say the teutonic order was the most fascinating to me

You two should talk more... 😉.... 🙃@BlackHeart
@BlackHeart well the interesting things about the Mongols in particular was that they weren't actually religiously motivated at all. Their steppe laws encouraged religious tolerance, which also made their empire very religiously tolerant. There are some arguments made that they didn't like religious people or Muslims but I don't think those hold very well at all. And they conquered a lot of cool places. Baghdad, for example, when they overthrew the caliph and took control of the thriving and beautiful city There was a massive library there and an unknown source said "the rivers ran red with blood... And blue with ink" but sources have shown that the books were actually given to this guy called Tusi instead lol. The Teutonic Order was pretty cool! I wish I knew more about the crusades, definitely a very intesting topic. Glad you like Medieval history though, I like it a lot too :D
