Do people still use desktop computers?

I do... still the best gaming rig around ;)

I use desktop computers almost exclusively and bought/built my own beast as well :D

I prefer them simply because the keyboard and screen are larger.

Desktops are the only computers anyone can build, they are also less hot and can be upgraded. A laptop has no upgrade path. I have built three gaming rigs and have a server on the way lol

Because Ryzen has no mobile part, and Intel forgot to develop performance in the last 5 years on mobile... so yeah, desktop computers is the only way to go if you need more power than you have back in the sandy bridge days... :/

Yes, still the best for gaming, also most workplaces still use them. My building has over a thousand.

I have a desktop at home and a laptop for work/travel. Having a reserved space for your computer cant be beat .

It's awesome you built your own desktop! To know a computer from its guts to its peripherals is commendable.
I have an iMac desktop with a 21" screen. I call it my Maserati (as compared to the iPad and iPhone I use). I'm not a gamer, so I don't mind being in the Apple ecosystem.
