Does anyone know or experienced ufo's+strange lights during/soon/after a war? I've heard they can be related to nuclear activity from other countries

I've seen them out in foot hills where I lived starting around Thanksgiving on in to Christmas. At first it was a tiny blue light over the tree line, then two of them. By Christmas there was a red one also?! We lived right on the edge of this patch of woods, there's nothing in there, no light source at all...It was always late at night.
