@FrankietheFly run memtest. It will tell you whether you have faulty memory.

@FrankietheFly many good Windows 10 forums are out there... Just Google the issue and see the results and remedies

I'm no computer expert...but that could literally be any number of problems, from incorrect software to hardware troubles.

@Fangirlsarah1996 Indeed, that's not a simple question to answer, there are many variables in play.

Are you running regular maintenance? Doing a full reinstall occasionally seems to be a good idea.
Try shutting it down for a few minutes then turn it back on. Works sometimes.

@CereBellum 1 second off is enough with modern Electronics

Unless it's a laptop or tablet running Hot! Then let is cool some.

More than likely it's over loaded with a long list of Bootup / Reload files , old Cookies and to many things running in the back round which will cause a computer to crash / (1) open your RUN program , Type in " prefetch " , Click on " Select all then Delete all . ../ open Internet options and clean out all cookies

Chrome has an issue going about freezing since last month
Close the tab & reopen it

@Some1Else That's because Google Chrome runs in the BETA mode 24/7 and SW is not a beta based site as was EP , Firefox does not use beta

Clear history run disk cleanup and disk defragment. Turn off most start up programs.
