Does anyone here know much about exploration geology ?

I met a geologist once enough passionate about moving to a place he would give up his tenure at a university to live with a woman in a place full of rocks? Though it's questionable if he divorced himself from the university for the rocks, or love?

Yes. I am a geologist.
There are couple of exploration activities we geologist do. Notably, oil and gas exploration, mineral exploration, water resources exploration, super critical CO2 dumping site exploration, geothermal energy spots exploration. Each one has different techniques, involving a range of techs.
