@GovanDUNNY No. There will always be water. Just not enough fresh water to grow food and for the population to drink. Many locations already have Desalination plants for bigger cities to have drinking water.. And the process of Fracking for oil risks polluting and using drinking water and making it unfit for purpose.. If there was ever water on Mars (which is barely possible) The atmosphere was too thin and the gravity too low to hold it there and it gradually boiled away. It is scientifically possible that the odd trapped pocket of moisture may remain at the poles..😷

@GovanDUNNY And he may be right about that..In that the ocean currents run as they do because of the ice caps. As the caps melt, the flows will shift.. And as ocean temps rise (and they are) the inversion layer movements from deep cold to shallow warmer will also move..😷

@Northwest Musk wants people to go there. Whether he wants to do so, is another matter.

@calicuz I completely agree. The logistics of space travel make it impossible by convential travel means. Until they develop a way to generate a stable door to door wormhole, people are going to breed replacements faster than they can be shipped. And trade between planets will equally be a non starter for the same reason... Trade from the moon to earth MAY be possible in extreme value cases..Because the gravity well works for you. But those are going to be very expensive widgets coming back.. And maybe low gravity will have applications for the rich with old age care and some disabilities. But now I am reaching..😷

Correct, and as far as "one way trips" for supply containers, sounds like we need to solve our garbage problem on "the home planet" first, before exporting that problem.

@calicuz People still have not grasped that earth is a closed system. And whatever we do here is subject to Newtons 3rd law..😷
