How is it that there is existence?

How is it that there is existence? There are basically two lines of thought. Something was created from nothing or something was created from something else or has always existed.

Let's look at something created from nothing. By definition nothing is the total absence of anything. So something from nothing is a contradiction: you are saying something comes from what is not anything. On this strict definition, you actually can’t get creation from nothing; the phrase becomes logically incoherent.

Let's look at something having been created from something else. This creates an infinite regression of something having been created from something else that has existed before it. And infinite regression into the past and into the future.

Let's also look at something has always existed. There is an uncaused necessary being God or an uncaused necessary form of matter energy or laws.

The religious community say that there is a God that has always existed and is the creator of all things. This may be true. I don't know. But I can tell you one thing. It is not the god that they believe in. This God is a false god. An imperfect god. A god with flawed human characteristics.

If we look at nature the universe the world around us. We see that we have matter energy and laws that govern the world around us and the universe. We cannot prove that there is a god. But we can prove that there is matter energy and the laws that govern our universe. Matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but only change form. The matter energy and laws that govern the universe are part of an infinite uncaused necessary reality that has always existed. There may be an uncaused necessary being such as a God but it certainly isn't the one that human beings have created in their own minds and in their books.
