I think it will be worse people will go back to the way we were living in the stone ages.

@Lostpoet I am not sure it would be that bad, but how and in what ways would you suggest societies world-wide (presumably?) regress so severely?

I certainly share your pessimism though.

@ArishMell I think someone nukes the planet, or social distress makes it impossible to work and after so many years the infrastructure collapses and people go back to the basic ways of living, or global warming, some other issues.

@Lostpoet Nuclear warfare is a growing threat even within a few decades, with countries like North Korea and Iran developing such weapons; and China and Russia flexing their imperialist muscles in different ways.

Though because "winning" a war by violence is largely by losing the less, such countries might choose instead to enforce their way by sedition, the Internet, economic control and other non-violent ways. As they are already doing.

Climate change will bring huge strains by shortages, loss of land, large-scale migrations, etc.

Depletion of natural resources will cause a lot of what we do or use now to become far more difficult or even impossible.

Ironically those who will be the least affected will those who are the least "developed"..

@ArishMell That's what I was trying to say with my limited abilities.

@Lostpoet Your abilities are not limited!
