Old news. A Comet, twice the size of Mount Everest, C/2017 K2, was visible from earth about 6 months ago. It will get close to the sun in a month, and resume its journey.

If they checked and rechecked the data and confirmed our orbits were intersecting in the very near future, there's not much to dispute ... if you drain the oceans and mow down all the trees, Earth has lots of craters from past events
