So, according to science, a comet the size of Everest will hit the earth and we will all die...

How'd u react to this?
Would u even believe it?
Northwest · M
Old news. A Comet, twice the size of Mount Everest, C/2017 K2, was visible from earth about 6 months ago. It will get close to the sun in a month, and resume its journey.

Didn’t know...I made it up!@Northwest

@Wiseacre In that case, the thing might be back in 2030.

If they checked and rechecked the data and confirmed our orbits were intersecting in the very near future, there's not much to dispute ... if you drain the oceans and mow down all the trees, Earth has lots of craters from past events

There are still asteroid or comets being discovered today, sometimes hidden in the sun's glare for instance, so for the moment we're blissfully ignorant of our death date (if we don't manage to kill ourselves off first, before a celestial body or gamma ray burst or a mature (bigger) sun does it

It's not a matter of if, merely when
