Have you ever been in a water treatment facility?

BlueVeins · 22-25
kinda reminds me of how in the Matrix, the machines give us the perfect paradise to live in and the humans reject it

And in the midst of all this liquid plenty, there are still millions of people for whom clean, potable water is a rarity or even an impossibility. :(

What does the conspiracy say?
Northwest · M
@StrawberryMilkshake
The most common water conspiracy involves fluoridation.

I don't know about conspiracy, but a lot of people never trust additives. The US started fluoridation in 1945, with one town in Michigan, and then it rolled to the rest of the country pretty quickly, when they found it effective in reducing cavities.

More recently though, the non-conspiracy scientific community is questioning the need to fluoridate. The addition of fluoride to toothpaste, makes it a moot point, and countries without fluoridation, where toothpaste is widely used, get the same results.
@vetguy1991 The 'fluoride conspiracy' is very memorably included in the movie "Dr Strangelove" from 1964

"Mandrake, have you ever seen a commie drink a glass of water?"

@Northwest Exactly. The tube even says. DO NOT INGEST...but it's ok in water.

The group of people who might have said this 'fact' sound lovely.

@StrawberryMilkshake Hooray for the USA! :)
Very thoughtful but there is much hope left :)

Sure in many privileged societies this isn't appreciated by all but we want to see this extended to the nations that were held back from developing to this point. So many others have yet to appreciate this. No need to focus on a few conspirators who have the time to overthink or underappreciate great leaps in progress

Anyone can deny progress and I say let them be stubborn. We got a whole world in need of this, still and our work ain't done yet
If they want to drink sewage instead I encourage them to do so. Maybe they will take themselves out of the gene pool then.

On the contrary not every new invention is beneficial to humans. Technology has helped us inhabit the inhospitable, destroy the indestructible etc etc

@StrawberryMilkshake I'm playing devil's advocate as I have with this subject for years. Clean water is good, however if we hadn't polluted the clean water it wouldn't have been an issue. Yes stagnant water would still exist, not everything would have to be purified though
Northwest · M
Not sure what you mean by water conspiracy.
Northwest · M
@StrawberryMilkshake I've never heard of structured water. Had to look it up. There are always people looking for conspiracy in every public utility project, but I've never run into the water conspiracy people. Kudos to the Romans who managed an even bigger miracle by building aqueducts back in the day of manual labor.

@Northwest The only treatment the romans used was to make sure it ran...

What are we even talking about?
Luddites rise again.
Lol

The stupidest post madly using very advanced technology, which is based upon understanding electromagnetism and quantum mechanics, but they don't like knowledge, learning, or experts.

Very odd.
