How many chickens?

So I'm thinking about buying chickens again for the first time in a few years so I can start selling eggs on my farm again. So I am trying to find out how interested people are, in buying farm fresh eggs. The usually cost a little extra but I believe they're better.
Just so I can figure if I should go for around 60ish or just go for what I had previously at about 10.

@BalmyNites free range should be the minimum

@saiyan96 How do you mean?

@BalmyNites free range is a certain number of chickens per acre, but pastured eggs come from chickens who are free to roam wherever without restriction

@saiyan96 I see, thanks for that 😊

@BalmyNites but free range is still excellent and there shouldn't be anything less. No cage, cage free or barn.

@saiyan96 Yes but, foxes

@BalmyNites foxes are a problem here. Most pastured hens still have a home base that they return to at night and that's the only time they are locked away
