Do you understand that your statement us self-conflicting?

If things don't come from nothing, where did God come from?
@Northwest He has always existed. Just because our pea brain can’t understand it, doesn’t mean it’s not true.
Carazaa · F
@Northwest God is Spirit! He is not matter. He creates everything.

@Carazaa Plotin's unity theory says that spirit and matter have a common set, which enables God to command both spirit and matter.

Our pea brains are indeed incapable of deciphering the universe, so some of us invented God instead.

This means absolutely nothing.

@scooogy Thank you 🙏

@Northwest It means nothing to the some who do not understand God. Pray for understanding.🙂

This was Pluto's attempt to explain away something his brain could not process. Philosophy is not science, and the more science we learn, the closer we get to understanding that what some call God, is science and it has no heaven, hell or hymns.

You mean make stuff up so I can sleep better? Sure, I can try that, but I am a Physicist by training.

@Northwest Then you know that nothing comes from noone. And someone makes things happen.

Then you know that nothing comes from noone. And someone makes things happen.

No, I don't. The only thing I know, given our current knowledge set, is that the universe came from a point of light, and there was no magic God behind it.

It's tempting to pretend there's a God behind it, and there's a Jesus and all that, but that's a fantasy some believe in, because they can't explain it all.

In fact, no one can explain it all. You're attached to this idea of "spirit", as in it's not someone, and it's not physical, but even a "spirit" has to exist, so what created the spirit? And please don't tell me God, that's a self-serving statement. The simple answer, not requiring much math or theology, is that no one knows what causes the singularity, or cycles or singularity/inflation/deflation, or multiple and possibly infinite cycles of singularity/inflation/deflation, so we had to invent God to placate ourselves.

I will not find answers through science, not in my lifetime, but the answer is not an invisible deity either.

@Northwest Spiritually you have a lot to learn🙂
Read Gods word. He explains how he is Spirit and how he made light and the world, and how he came to visit us because we are sinners to save us from hell. I wish you the best! Take care!

@Carazaa
Spiritually you have a lot to learn

I'm very well read. I classify it all as Philosophy. I tend to steer clear from indoctrination.

Read Gods word.

Man's word. No God has ever operated a pen, pencil, typewriter or word processor.
Carazaa · F
@Northwest That is why he uses men and women to write the Bible. God is a Spirit who visited us and I can attest that he lives. You have much to learn!
Carazaa · F
@Northwest No offense but I know God, and I find it unbelievably arrogant that you say that there is no proof of God when I get proof daily and so many know God personally, because he saved them. Just because you arent saved and know him personally does not mean he does not exist!

He has always existed

Then why not just say the universe haS always existed?

If it’s good enough to just make up something about your god then why not just make up something about everything else?
Northwest · M
@Carazaa
You have much to learn!

You keep saying that. Learn what? Would you like to challenge me on theology?

No offense but I know God, and I find it unbelievably arrogant that you say that there is no proof of God when I get proof daily and so many know God personally, because he saved them. Just because you arent saved and know him personally does not mean he does not exist!

Wonderful. What kind of proof do you have? Saved them from what? What do I need saving from? What's arrogant is those who think they know for sure.
@bystander well I go by what the Bible says. God said He created all that we see in 6 literal days. Includes the universe we live in. I believe God’s word . If you don’t, I can’t and won’t twist your arm into trusting. The universe had a beginning. God did not. He’s always been. Triune God.
@Northwest thing is, no one was there in the beginning. The idea that you get something out of nothing is ridiculous.
bystander · 70-79, M
@Thedoorislocked
something out of nothing is ridiculous

Then so much for your god
@bystander no God is definitely something.
Just because you reject Him as “your God” doesn’t mean you’ve “dismissed “ Him from His throne.
bystander · 70-79, M
@Thedoorislocked Because you say so..?

Where did it come from?
Northwest · M
@Thedoorislocked
thing is, no one was there in the beginning.

In that case, why do you think that your version of events is the correct one?

The idea that you get something out of nothing is ridiculous.

Yet, this is what you're suggesting with your idea of God. Where did God come from? The answer is: nothing.
Carazaa · F
@Northwest Saved from punishment for your sins. We all have sinned. Jesus, Gods Son, died for the worlds sins and proved it by raising people from the dead. Witnesses died to testify. 🙂🙏
@Northwest It doesn’t bother me that I can’t answer that question. He knows and that’s all that matters to me.
