The big bang has been it’s engine for billions of years
usher · 41-45, F
@Kumbayakid but what fuels it ?
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@usher the energy it produced. It’s fueled the creation of everything in the universe.
usher · 41-45, F
@Kumbayakid what energy does it produce that can fuel a whole universe ?
@Kumbayakid really?
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@usher what energy DID it produce? All of it if. All energy (and subsequent mass) was produced in the big bang.
usher · 41-45, F
@Kumbayakid So you are saying the big bang was caused by nuclear Fission ?
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@usher nuclear fusion not fission
usher · 41-45, F
@Kumbayakid you mean there are two types of Fission ?
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@usher they’re two different things altogether. The elements in the universe were created by nuclear fusion
@Kumbayakid kinda rewrites thermodynamics entirely ... and makes a mess of the theory of relativity ... but I have faith that can fill in for the unknowns
usher · 41-45, F
@Kumbayakid true, but what's your point ? How did fission cause the big bang ?
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@questionWeaver I’m not sure what you’re responding to
usher · 41-45, F
@Kumbayakid Sorry , maybe that was someone elses argument..lol
@Kumbayakid apologies ... the big bang theory was what I was addressing
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@usher it didn’t
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@questionWeaver what rewrites thermodynamics? I’m still not getting you
@Kumbayakid the basic laws of matter, that it can neither be created nor destroyed and the same with energy

You stick all this matter together at the center of something undefined ... and neither the speed of light nor the force of particle attraction holds.

For the big bang theory to hold, one has to have faith in physical prinicples never envisioned, observed, suggested or ever discussed ... a huge leap in faith in physics
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@questionWeaver not sure how the big bang violates the laws of thermodynamics. I thought the assumption was that, like any singularity such as a black hole, it contains tremendous mass, with its inherent latent energy. Simply because its a singularity has nothing to do with the conservation of energy.
@Kumbayakid simply explain to us how either mass or energy could escape the molecular attraction forces (between matter) ... when those forces would be so large that light itself could not escape the molecular attraction.

Show us this math they suggest exists

And you will discover it is based on the flimsiest theories and speculations ever suggested.

If it is true the big bang exists ... it violates the basic laws of thermodynamics and physics we hold sacred.

We all did these calcs in Nuclear Physics class

Einstein deliberated philosophically on this.

And this is why they called it a "big bang" ... cause nobody has even a suggestion how that would even occur.

It is easier to believe Moses separated the Red Sea ... than to even suggest it is possible to have a "big bang"
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@questionWeaver then I sincerely ask you, if not the big bang, what? The largest releases of energy ever recorded have come from black holes. Doesn’t seem like a stretch to assume that the big bang was some type of analogue on a different scale. But no one, and surely not me, knows.
@Kumbayakid exactly the point of the poster

You get a choice ... fantasize about math and physics not yet ever suggested or even reasonable or have faith in divinity

It is whatever helps one go forward.

Black holes are a phenonoma that is suggested, based on light ... but bent light might explain them to.

All one can say ... is it is a theory (one that changes about every 5 years)
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@questionWeaver faith in divinity is a cop out. Regardless of God’s existence, the universe was created by a mechanism which has somewhat been explained and will be explained further because we’re intelligent, curious creatures. Is the fact that the universe is expanding an illusion? The radiation emitted from black holes an illusion?
