The FDA along with every other federal department is suspect.

The swamp isn't deep, but widespread.
I've heard suggestions like 'term limits' for department heads and spreading them around the country rather than all in one city.

If you don't trust the FDA, then do you personally test every medication you take for interactions and side effects?

Do you personally test every food additive you ingest for safety?

Do you personally test all the dairy and produce you buy for salmonella, e. coli, listeria, etc?

Who makes sure your canned food is safe to eat?
