Rational science explores "natural" phenomenon and proposes "laws" to explain/predict/regulate/use. Earthquakes, electricity, waves, tides, thunder, lightning, etc.

Blindfolded Science means different things to different people and it inevitably involves politics both in academia and outside it. It is not necessarily bad, as long as it does not turn into dogma. In this case the theory is looking for a natural proof. String theory for instance.
