Rational science proposes a theory and then compares it to real world data to test it to see if the theory's predictions are developing in the real world.. If the theory and the real world observations don't match then rational science will ditch the theory and go back to the lab to try and come up with another theory to more accurately mirror real world observations...

Blindfolded Science is where scientists believe in the theory and any real world observations that do not align with the theory are dismissed as erroneous data or are totally ignored.. A good example of this today is the Co2 caused global warming theory which has a fanatical support and momentum all of it's own. So much so that scientists are scared to question the theory even when the real world data is not matching their computer generation models..

It seems scientists who have well paid positions in Universities and science institutes value their positions and carriers within that system and don't want to end up canceled and out of a job.. Many of them are probably hoping that some other scientist will have the balls to come forward with the evidence to kill the theory but up until this time most scientists are continuing on with the lie to save their professional carriers..
