@NerdyPotato ...and Finland is not that far, and you weren't much satisfied from your apartment I recall...... 🙊

@Boeing No, in Norway it is not hard to ask. At least not once you have been there for a while because a lot of what makes the country function is ad hoc volunteer work especially connected with sports clubs, the local brass band, etc.
So if you have a child who plays in the local handball team for instance you are expected to take your turn providing a bucket of waffle batter for the canteen that you are also expected to take turns serving in when there is a game on. Then when spring comes and the snow has thawed the kommune needs all the trash that has accumulated beside roads, in ditches, on beaches, etc. to be cleared but it's a sparsely populated country so they don't have the manpower (person power). So they make a contract with the local sports club which volunteers its members and inevitably the members parents and siblings to go out with buckets, rakes and bin bags. The club gets paid for this but the people doing the work don't it all goes to whatever the club needs doing
Anyway the point I was trying to make is that you quickly understand that you can be asked for help and that no one really expects anyone to say no.

@SinlessOnslaught Norway at least is quite different. At work you are generally hired for what you can do and then left to get on with it and simply expected to do just that. So there is a sort of implied pressure but in my experience at least very little actual pressure. If you have any kind of technical or scientific qualifications or skills you absolutely could have a chance of moving to a Nordic country. But probably any Northern European country (including my birth country, the UK) has a more relaxed way of being both at work and otherwise.
So if you are serious about the idea I recommend that you contact the embassy of whichever country you fancy and ask them about possibilities and procedures. It costs nothing to ask, these days not even a postage stamp.

Single or not. I wouldn`t be caught dead carrying a pink basket. 🤭

I'd rather just get my basket without the mark of Cain on me TYVM.
That video does have some influencer vibes btw 😅
