They've grieved people who were still alive, swallowed words they'll never get to say, and learned how to keep going without closure, without comfort, without guarantees.
Solitude didn't hollow them out_-it carved them into something precise and unshakeable. They stopped confusing presence with loyalty, attention with love, noise with connection. So when you try to shake them, there's nothing loose to rattle.
They've already sat in the fire and realized they were never meant to be saved they were meant to endure it, to understand it, and to walk out carrying their own light.
