He said let’s be swingers. The idea of love has fallen really far from what it used to be. There’s a difference between lust and love after all, or am I just naive?

No, you aren't naïve, you are right.

But sex is so pervasive that some forget love, or chase only arousal and orgasm.

Maybe that's the insidious damage of porn: leeching out love...
