The girl with no name
The festival was on
Down by the lake
On stage played the bands
In the crowd joints changing hands
That’s when I saw her
The girl with no name
Red, curly hair, a beautiful frame
A little shorter than me
Green eyes in a freckled face
Scanning the crowd, looking for me
She caught my attention
And I caught hers
When she went swimming
Without any clothes
Then on that warm night
In the tent on the stage
Held her in my arms
Kissed her
- It was late
We had fun and silly banter
Walking around holding hands
Smiles, jokes and lots of laughter
Stealing kisses in the night
We both wished that forever it would go on
But we both understood
That time was relentlessly moving on
Soon she had to leave for good
She said goodbye
With a hug and kiss
I knew she couldn’t be mine
And that I will always miss
And that’s how it is
With the girl with no name
There is not glitter, no fame, not even shame
Only this sweet memory
Of the girl with no name
Down by the lake
On stage played the bands
In the crowd joints changing hands
That’s when I saw her
The girl with no name
Red, curly hair, a beautiful frame
A little shorter than me
Green eyes in a freckled face
Scanning the crowd, looking for me
