If it becomes hard work it’s a deeper underlining issue that needs to be resolved between the married pair before going off on dinner date with another man , if a healthy compromise can’t be reached then the relationship needs to end and both need to live separate lives or continue wasting time with negative feelings

It’s a matter of respect from both sides.
