I don't agree with people dating their best friend. Who are you going to talk to about your relationship after dates, especially if she does something weird. A lesser friend? Plus she has all this dirt on you. That whole getting to know you stage is gone, replaced with greater intimacy. She already knows your life views and tastes so you don't get those awkward care free talks holding hands while walking down the street, looking at storefront windows talking about having this furniture, or wearing those clothes or her having the hairstyle of that wig, having that car, going here or there together. She already knows all that about you.

And if you end it on something simple, you lose your best friend. That sucks.
