How to actually talk to someone you like

There is someone I’m interested in and although I know that we share similar interests I have no idea how to approach them in a normal way. They once messaged me on insta out of the blue (we had barley spoken to each other) and we had a short conversation but I honestly haven’t got a clue how to approach him. Any advice

Find an interest of his and start a conversation with something like "Hey, I hear you are into (insert interest), what do you thin about (insert some question)"

Before you do that, get to know a bit about his interest.

@Ontheroad is that a good conversation starter. I think I know quite a lot about his interests but i feel it might be quite unnatural considering we barley speak

@FriedDoughnuts Worst case, he answers you and goes on about his day. Best case, you end up in an interesting conversation... here's the thing, one of you has to start the conversation or it will never happen.

@FriedDoughnuts here's the other thing... most guys love to be asked about things they know about and can talk about... especially if a woman is asking. That is a fact, so go for it!
