Looking Back, Remembering When
Getting to know you was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was over six years ago that I found myself reading all of your posts and with each word I read and with each experience you shared I knew I wanted to get to know the woman behind the words better.
In a post to me you invited me to go on a journey with you. I jumped at the chance of a one to one real time experience and after these six plus years with all of its moving parts and complexities; with all of its bumps and bruises; with all of its smiles, laughs and joys I am still as in love with you now as I was in love with you then.
I’m a man of very few relationships with anyone in close physically proximity to me let alone in a long distance one. But I wouldn’t trade this relationship with you for anything else in the world.
Though we’ve never met in person, we’ve walked hand in hand. We’ve searched each other’s wanting and desiring eyes. We’ve made love by candlelight. Whether it’s a ride in a car, dinner in a remote corner of the most out of the way romantic place, making a wish upon a star as we gaze hand in hand together in the calm of a approach summer’s night, whatever it is, or will be we will do it together just you and me.
And yes, I hope one day, I wish and I pray for that special day when we shall be in each other’s arms, in a close and most sweet embrace, my mouth waiting patiently for yours; oh that time for when I comes it shall surely be the best time of our lives.
