Should You Give, In Order To Receive?

A nice gesture?
A flower?
A hug?
A kiss?
A hand with a chore?
A call, just to say hello?

Would you do all this, because it's who you are, or because you expect something in return?

Hollywood created a culture, where romance is transactional and calculated.

Kind of takes the romance out of it. Just my opinion. If you want to be in a romantic relationship, why would you pick a partner who needs a reminder to give, else they will not receive?
No…In general, if you force or give a gift(of love, gesture, words) and do not expect it in return, you won’t be disappointed. Doesn’t mean one shouldn’t hope for a reciprocal gesture from the OP.

In a romantic relationship, if both are equally involved, the return love can be felt in words, and gestures.

If you force it, then you’ll probably wait for them to respond…. And it’s obvious there’s no connection there.
