What's the most romantic thing you have experienced so far....

Not gifts and flowers or even anything material. But a thoughtful gesture, a meaningful response that touched you dearly.

My Hubby of 66 years, just before his death, thanking me for making life -- and dying -- fun.

I was, indeed, dearly touched. He was a sweetie.

@HakunaMatata Thanks, Hakuna. Too often folks don't let their dear ones know of their gratitude, and it makes a difference in handling oneself. In life and death.

@Nelladell yes indeed 🙂
@Nelladell Touching memory encapsulating a life time together.
I’m going to cry now 🥺

I was criticized by a guy, in a very long letter (5 or so hand-written pages), because I had misunderstood a very important thought from GWF Hegel.
Figure that out! Five pages from a man who understands Hegel, only for me. ❤️
@helenS Me thinketh your letter writer was suffering from "chronic analism".
helenS · 36-40, F
@anythingoes477 He was quite anal-ytic
@helenS Sounds like a real stinker. ;-)
When he signed my divorce papers

To intimate (nostalgic) for me to share here, but it is something I'll never forget. :)

Too many to list.
I am fortunate in that my husband is intelligent, handsome, strong,kind, creative, funny and charming.
That combination of traits is off the charts when it comes to romance... or anything else for that matter.
I am lucky to know him.❤️

I had invited her for a long weekend of camping in the mountains, but it was peak tourist season and the campgrounds were totally booked. Rather than chance not finding a spot, I booked a really crummy cabin at a little out-of-the-way resort (they had just had a cancellation and it was the only accommodation I could find).

I told her about the change in plans and I knew she'd be disappointed, because we always enjoyed camping and hiking together, but all she said was "I don't care where we go as long as I'm with you."

We had always been more friends than lovers but those words kind of melted my heart.

@FrozenWasteland that's really a nice romantic thing to say 🙂.
Debating whether to wait out the storm or make a dash for the car. We chose to run for it, and got absolutely soaked.
She turned to me, completely drenched, and said that was the most romantic thing she had ever done :)

Can’t think of a thing. It’s only ever been flowers and poems, which I’m not fond of. 🤔

Going out to dinner with a woman 20 years older than me. She eventually became my girlfriend but died from cancer about a year ago.
