Myself.
As soon as I get money, I just want to irresponsibly spend it all on good food, hide from the world, and space out.
I don't get out of my way enough, and it brings down people around me.
I'm trying to find gratitude and joy and comedy in every minute of my life.
Not to escape the thoughts & feelings that are dragging me under, as I don't believe there is any escaping those. Rather, simply to make more of my time, and more of my life, and hopefully bring joy and happiness wherever I go.

@SnailTeeth ooh that sounds lovely! i do hope you manage! i mean the first part isn't so bad as long as you don't do it irresponsibly, like set money aside for emergencies and the like!

@popmol I am.
I think I've been too focused on seeking comfort, rather than focusing on being comfortable even in uncomfortable situations.
I've been too busy looking for that one thing that's going to make sense of everything, when all I needed to do was look to my present surroundings for inspiration, hope, and comfort.
I wish my Netty were still here, so I could share this with her.
I think I need to practice and learn more to love myself.

@SnailTeeth yeah hoping for that one light in the dark is never a good idea! i do the same thing! and i know i shouldn't.

netty?
Love yourself because if you hate yourself you'll get nowhere!

@popmol @TheFlippantSide was my partner, she was Netty. She went to be at peace on Wednesday.

@SnailTeeth i'm sorry to hear ;(

@popmol I think it's how she wanted it.
She didn't want a wake, or any funeral service.
I was going to go and see her, either on my birthday or Christmas, and I don't think she wanted me to see her. (Cancer was killing her)
She was an incredible force of nature, with so much passion for love and life.
She was my heart, my other half, my best and only friend in this world.
I will never know another like her.

@SnailTeeth on the one hand i hope you find someone like her if only its a friend. but i get thats tough! but i hope at least friends will be in your life!

@popmol Thank you.

I think the hardest part about losing a partner, is not knowing where to go, who to be. She took care of me.

Even just the little things are still heartbreaking, and can trigger strong emotions.

Throughout my day I used to look for things to share about my day with her, and now I'm in this habit of spotting things she'd like to hear about, and then realising I can't share them with her. Then realising I can't hear about her day either. It's a big adjustment, esp. since we spent 10+ hours together every day for the last 4 years.

Outside of work/sleep, she was my world. Still is, in my mind.
